Clark County Green Schoolspartners with Washington Green Schools, Waste Connections, and City of Vancouver to provide education and technical support to all schools in Clark County. Schools in this program have the opportunity to focus on one or all six environmental categories: waste, water, grounds, energy, transportation and healthy buildings. As of 2018, there are 80 schools that participate in food waste composting. Currently, Clark County has the largest number of green schools of any county in the state of Washington.
Repair Clark County is a series of free events that serve to help the community in repairing a wide variety of household items such as electronics, clothing and tetiles, bikes, blade sharpening and more! Volunteers from the community with the appropriate skills in repair and refurbishing will help with your household items, and direct you to where it can be fixed by a professional.
