Composter Recycler Program

The Clark County Composter Recycler Program is coordinated by Clark County Public Health’s Solid Waste and Environmental Outreach to assist citizens with developing more sustainable lifestyles and building a strong environmental community in Clark County. Solid waste regional planning and programs are a cooperative effort of Battle Ground, Camas, Clark County, La Center, Ridgefield, Vancouver, Washougal, and Yacolt.

Visit a Compost Demonstration Site

The Composter Recycler program operates three composting demonstration sites in Clark County where visitors can view different systems of home composting and how the compost can be used. Composter Recycler volunteers maintain these demonstration sites. The sites are also used for workshops. 

The demonstration sites at Pacific Park and CASEE/Wildlife Botanical Gardens are open to the public for free, every day during daylight hours. The demonstration site at Heritage Farm is open to the public during workshops and events.

Natural Gardens at Pacific Park

The compost demonstration site at Pacific Park (1515 NE 164th Ave in east Vancouver) is near the intersection of NE 18th St and NE 172nd Ave in the Natural Gardens. 

CASEE

The "CASEE" demonstration site is located at the Center for Agriculture Science and Environmental Education at 11104 NE 149th in Brush Prairie. The composting demonstration site is located at the west end of the NatureScaping Wildlife Botanical Gardens.

Heritage Farm

Heritage Farm is located at 1919 NE 78th St in Vancouver in the Hazel Dell area.
